Topic: I'm resting in His Arms
Wow! Two days away from taking my finals in Ministry Training School (MTS); and I'm more relaxed than I have ever been. Tonight I watched a great movie on "Lifetime" which really helped me to switch gears and move into the "rest" mode.
Last August 2005, looking at the big picture of going into my first year of MTS was overwhelming. "I can't do this," I told myself. Then I heard the still small voice of my Father saying, "No, you can't do this, I will do it through you." My Father has been sooooo faithful to His Word. The times I wanted to give up and grew weak in my faith, He encouraged me to "Go Forward, and take one day at a time." From that time until now, I have completely depended upon Him, and He has carried me through the rough and the good times...and I am grateful.
Are you feeling overwhelmed or pressured about something God has instructed for you to do? Are you trying to do it in your own strength? Take a moment, breathe and relax. Cease from your own labors and rest in the strong arms of your Heavenly Father. His arms are outstretched waiting on you to run into them...and that's love.
