All God's Children
Topic: Who's Your Father?
Have you heard the expression, "We are all God's Children?" I've heard it far too many times than I can count or care to remember. I would agree, wholeheartedly, that we are all God's creations; however, to say we are all God's children? I think Not!

We are not all of God's children? Let's examine and see what the Word (the Spirit of God) has to say about this subject. Remember the story in the Gospel of John, Chapter 8, where Jesus rebuked the religious leaders because they did not obey His words. They disputed with Jesus that Abraham was their father. Jesus said, "If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham."

They went on to say that we have one Father, even God. Jesus replied, "If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but He sent me."

Still they could not understand the words Jesus spoke to them. Then Jesus rebuked them openly. "Why do you not understand my speech? Even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do...."

In the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 12, Jesus was talking to the people as his mother and brethren stood and desired to speak with him. One member in the group said, "Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee."

Jesus answered, "Who is my mother? And who are my brethren?" Jesus stretched His hands toward His disciples and said, "Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother."

Now that you've gotten Jesus views on this subject, Can you honestly say that all of God's creations are doing the will of His Heavenly Father? Will you agree with me that we are not all of God's children? Think of these things.
