Patience During Desperate Times

What do I have to say that others want to hear? My mind was really boggled at the mere thought of anyone paying me to write. That will never happen. These were lies the devil had spoken to my mind, but God had other plans for me (Jeremiah 29:11). Through all of my uncertainties and doubts of becoming a published author, writer and speaker, I discovered the key of patience for unlocking God's plan for my own life.

Patience taught me how to pray and wait on God's timing for His plans and purposes to unfold and manifest where writing and speaking were concerned. Patience + preparation = manifestation.

When we go through the fiery furnace of afflictions (notice I said through because we will make it to the other side) God is with us. We will not be consumed by the fire or will it singed a single hair on our head. This is a testing of our faith to see if we believe God's promises. Does not the Word say in Romans 5:3, "...tribulation works patience...?" James 1: 3-4 paraphrased, that the trying of our faith works patience. But we should let patience have her perfect work that we become perfect (mature) and entire (whole) and wanting nothing (no lack)...and that's really good news.

During your desperate times, use the key of patience to unlock every door and possess every blessing and promotion that God has inscribed with your name.

A Call to the Nations

Can you hear the voice of God calling unto His people to return unto Him for the healing of the land? The world is looking to the government for solutions to the meltdown in the economic crisis invading throughout the land. But Isaiah 9:6, says, "...and the Government shall be upon His shoulder..."

God has given His people the biblical resolution for remedying the crisis.
Let's look at 2 Chronicles 7:14, " If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Prayer: "Father, burn Your words in the hearts of your people as they witness to the world of your amazing love and goodness. When they humble, pray, seek and turn; You have promised to hear forgive, and heal. That's awesome! Will you take Him at His Word?

Laughing Matters...

My normal stance on politics is "Shush.....keep my opinions silent." But today, I decided to speak out on the "laughing matter." On Sunday, President Obama appeared on CBS "60 minutes." During certain phases of the interview while responding to the host's questions on the perils of the economy, he laughed. Well...the sparks of criticisms started erupting like firecrackers all over the media networks. The heat intensified and raged like wildfires among his critics. My stance on the laughter, "President Obama got it right...your critics were wrong."

Proverbs 17:22 reads, "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine." (KJV). We can learn a valuable lesson from our President on what to do when we are experiencing intense heat under the pressures of life. Keep laughing...for laughter matters.

New Title for Blog

"...And who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" (Esther 4:14).

Today marks the official launching of the new title for my blog "Signs of the Tynes: Prophetically Speaking for Such a Time as This!" While the old title "Blogging in the Spirit" originated with the creation of my blog, it's now time for me to move forward and walk in the season of change that has been destined for me. So my prayer and praise, "Father, thank you for giving me this title and the foundational scripture. Now give me the wisdom to apply the knowledge that I've been taught and the understanding I need that will bring glory to you in Jesus' Name."

Speak the Word

Maxx and I had a pleasant walk today. Lately, I have found myself trying to tune out the many chaotic voices of the T.V. especially the 24-hour news channels like CNN and MSNBC. Walking renews my mind and my spirit. Walking helps me to turn off the voices of the world around me, and tune inwardly and listen to the voice of the Word of God. I rejoice in the truth of God's Word and not in the lies and mischief emanating from satanic forces in the world. There are so many reasons to be concerned and yet prayerful about the economical and financial crises. However, if we find ourselves worrying and fearing about them, we are not standing in faith on the promises of the Word of God. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. "For all the promises of God in Him are "yea" (that's yes) and in Him "Amen" (so be it) unto the Glory of God by us" (2 Cor. 1:20).

It is finished!

I'm learning what it means to say what God says and speak the Word of God boldly. My prayer is, "Father, set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips" (Psalm 141:3).

So I say to the believers (those who have accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior), no matter what you see or hear, the Word of God is your final authority over everything that concerns you. So go forth this season and give strength, hope and joy to a lost and dying world by spreading the Word of God. For the joy of the Lord is truly our strength in these troublesome times. The name of the Lord is strong tower; the righteous run in and they are safe.

Insights gathered as I Meditated on Psalm 119

Psalms 119 has always been one of my favorite Psalms. The Psalm focuses primarily on the Word of God. King David expresses his love for God's Word throughout. This one Psalm incorporates everything we need because the law of the Lord is perfect.

Throughout my own Christian journey, I have incorporated many verses into my prayers. One of the main lessons I have learned by reading and meditating on this Psalm is that in order for me to reach the heights and depths of spiritual maturity in the Lord, I must remain humble and teachable. Like David, my desire is to hear my Daddy say, "That's my daughter. She is after my own heart." Is this the desire of your heart too? Selah.

I'm Expecting

My soul waits only upon God, for my expectation is from Him. I am pregnant with vision and possibilities. What about you? Are you pregnant with vision and possibilities of seeing God take you to a whole new level in Him? My spirit knows, but my mind cannot conceive all of the marvelous things God is doing in my life as a writer. A move is taking place in my life. It may be physically, spiritually, or both (time will reveal it), but He is moving me from faith-to-faith and from glory-to-glory.

2007: The Year of Many Open Doors

Happy New Year!

The doors of Year 2006 are closing behind us, and new doors for Year 2007 are opening right in front of us. I am so thankful for each year the Lord gives me here on planet earth. My confession is, "I am not going anywhere until I have completed my destiny here on planet earth." This is my confession, what is yours?

I love Thanksgiving. It is not a one-time occurrence every November for me. Thanksgiving is everyday to me because of what my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has done for me. I am eternally grateful. There would be no Christmas if Jesus had not been born. I celebrate His birth. However, most importantly, I celebrate His death, burial, and ultimately His resurrection. He is an awesome God, isn't He?

For 2007, my spirit is waiting in expectation of all the marvelous things God has planned for the lives of His children. I am pregnant with vision and possibilities in taking my writing to the next level more so this year than ever before. There is a stirring in my spirit that God will do a new thing in the writing/speaking/publishing arena. There is a stirring in my spirit that God is moving me either physically, spiritually, or both (time will reveal it) to a new level in Him.

Look at 2007! It is the Year of Jubilee. In biblical times, a mighty debt-release program occurred during the Year of Jubilee. God is not a respecter of person. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I believe that He can do it for me. I will venture out a step further to say, "I know He can do it for me." Do you believe that God can release you from every debt you owe regardless of the amount?

God says, "Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: Is there anything too hard for me?" My reply, "Absolutely, nothing, no thing." So as Bishop T.D. Jakes would say, "Get Ready! Get Ready! Get Ready!"

There are no limits and no boundaries in the Lord. Contrary to public opinion, "The sky is not the limited to what I can have." When one door shuts and another door opens, I will walk through it as God leads me through it. For this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes.

Moving to the Next Level?

Be careful of the words you choose to speak. Speak the Word only! For the Word of God, they are spirit and they are life. You can have what you say. Or you can say what you have. It does matter what you speak out of your mouth.

Choose life. Your tongue is the pen of a ready writer!

While conversing with a good friend this past weekend, she gave me a whole new meaning of what it means to "Put God first in all things." This morning as I meditated on our conversation, Proverbs 3:4-5, came in my spirit. I spoke it aloud and afterwards, retrieved my Parallel Bible and the Good News Bible to seek other translations. Here is my discovery. I pray you are blessed as I was because our success is guaranteed when we put God first in ALL things.

"Trust in the Lord with ALL thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." (KJV)

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the Lord in everything you do, and He will show you the right way." (Good News Bible)

"If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don't ever trust yourself. In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success." The Living Bible)

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths." (Revised Standard)
